Dr. Davide Bracali Cioci, Junior Researcher


BracaliciociDavide Bracali Cioci is a junior researcher. He obtained the Master Degree in Mathematics from University of Pisa in 2011 with a thesis concerning maneuver determination of artificial satellites. His research interests are related to Celestial Mechanics, especially to orbit determination of space debris.

Dr. Marta Ceccaroni, Researcher

CeccaroniMarta Ceccaroni got her degree in differential equations and functional analisys at the dep. of Mathematics of Roma Tre University, Rome and her PhD in Aerospace Engineering at the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow. She has accomplished a 3 years post-doc within the EUfunded AstroNet-II Marie Curie research training network in astrodynamics. She worked as a validation analyst in the field of airport traffic control and management. For SpaceDys she is the Front Desk operator for the asteroid orbit determination and impact monitoring services at the NEO Coordination Centre (ESA-ESRIN). Her main activities at present are testing assistance, validation of the commissioning phases of the NEODyS SW migration process.

Dr. Andrea Chessa, Researcher

Andrea Chessa achieved the Bachelor's degree in Mathematics at the University of Rome "Tor Vergata" in 2001 and had the Master in Space Science and Technology in the 2012 at the same University. The main areas in which he is involved are the Orbit Determination and the System Administration in the informatics section. The initial activities are related to orbit determination and impact monitoring of NEOs.

Dr. Alessio Del Vigna, Trainee Researcher

Alessio Del Vigna achieved the Master's degree in Mathematics at the University of Pisa in 2014. At present he is attending the PhD courses in Mathematics of the same University. In SpaceDyS he is a trainee who will work in algoritms and software development for the orbit determination problem.

Dr. Laura Faggioli, Researcher


faggioliLaura Faggioli achieved the Master's degree in Mathematics at the University of Rome "La Sapienza"  in 2010 with a thesis on hamiltonian resonant normal forms with application on celestial mechanics; in 2012 she obtained the Master in "Space Science and Technology" at the University of Rome "Tor Vergata". The main area in which she is involved in SpaceDys is the Orbit Determination within the BepiColombo project.

Dr. Andrea Gatto, Researcher



Andrea GattoAndrea Gatto studied Astrophysics and Cosmology at the University of Bologna. He obtained his PhD in Astrophysics at the Max Planck Institute for Astrophysics in Munich, where he worked on massively parallel simulations of the interstellar medium, star formation and stellar feedback. His current research focuses on software development for observations and orbit determination of space debris and NEOs.

Dr. Francesca Guerra, Researcher


Francesca Guerra obtained the Master Degree in Mathematics from University of Pisa with a thesis in Algebraic Geometry.
Her research activity is now devoted to Celestial Mechanics, in particular to new algorithms for the orbit determination.

Dr. Erica Nencini, Financial Advisor

nenciniErica Nencini  achieved a Master's Degree in Economics and Business in 1998 and has gained more than 12 years of experience as controller and CFO in SMEs, focusing on management control and financial planning. Since 5 years she works as management advisor and collaborates with SpaceDyS's BoDs as a financial advisor for a proper development and planning of the resources of the company.

She is involved mainly in accounting activities and supports the research team in the interaction with suppliers and organizations.
